The Danny Thomas Show / Four Color Comics v2 #1249 - Russ Manning art

The Danny Thomas Show / Four Color Comics v2 #1249, 1962 - The television comedian and his family embark on a trip to London, undisturbed by news of a notorious jewel thief lurking around their hotel. Russ Manning's streamlined drawings offer a different, but equally fascinating rendition of the Danny Thomas Show characters. The art is a tad more static, but compensates with greater clarity and more overall friendliness. Aside from some repetition in drawing heads and faces, Manning nicely captures the likenesses of the actors. Compare this with Alex Toth's Danny Thomas issue. This is number 1 of 1 Danny Thomas Show issues with Manning art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Danny Thomas Show or Manning issues. See also this blog's Russ Manning checklist.
