Torchy v1 #1, 1949 - First introduced in Doll Man, the self-described blonde bombshell begins her own series while still appearing in two other Quality titles. Torchy and her best friend Tess run into circumstances where their good looks earn favors, privileges and money. Of all the "good girl" titles of this era, this one stands out due to the artistry. Ironically, this first issue has scant contribution from her creator Bill Ward. Artists in this issue include Gil Fox and Harry Sahle. Cover by Fox.- - - - - - - - - -
