Peacemaker v1 #1, 1967 - First appearing in Fightin' Five #40, the man who loves peace enough to fight for it debuts in his own self-titled series. This first issue's opening tale reveals a villain who sabotages fishing boats in international waters. The Peacemaker dives into the assignment, leading him to investigate deep under the sea. Joe Gill wrote all the stories, including the Fightin' Five backup story. Pat Boyette drew the two main features and the cover. Note that there is a 1970s reprint of this issue, distinguished by a blue "Modern Comics" logo in the upper left cover.
