Metal Men v1 #1, 1963 - A sentient robot sends an endless army of duplicates to Earth, hoping to secure Tina as his artificial mate. Doc Magnus' metallic heroes respond quickly and accordingly. Iron, Lead, Gold, Tin, Mercury and Platinum (Tina) battle the falling Missile Men using their own unique abilities. After previously appearing in Showcase #37, #38, #39 and #40, the Metal Men begin their own self-titled series. This first issue was written by Robert Kanigher and drawn by Ross Andru and Mike Esposito. Cover by Andru and Esposito. // key 1st issue
