Showcase v1 #37, 1962 - After spending eons in an arctic sheet, a giant flying sting ray is suddenly freed and attacks New York City. The military calls a brilliant scientist named Dr. Will Magnus, who proceeds to build a robotic team named after various metals: Gold, Iron, Lead, Platinum, Tin and Mercury.
