Space Man v1 / Four Color v2 #1253 (#1), 1962 - Ian Stannard and Johnny Mack, American astronauts, are the first men to land on the moon. Upon arrival, they discover a secret base built and run by half-human cyborgs. Their leader, Colonel Hooper, enlists the astronauts to join the fight against galactic aggressors. This first issue, preceding the real moon landing by seven years, was written by Ken Fitch and drawn by Jack Sparling.
