Planet Comics v1 #1, 1940 - One of the earliest science fiction comic book titles, Planet Comics introduced an array of characters set across different worlds. Flint Baker and crew take a spaceship to Mars, Auro is a self-proclaimed ruler of Jupiter and the size-changing Red Comet travels where needed. This colorful first issue also features the unfortunately named Spurt Hammond, who negotiates peace between warring factions on the moon. Stories were drawn by Dick Briefer, Malcolm Kildale, Ken Jackson, Alex Blum and others. Cover by Lou Fine.- - - - - - - - - -
