Planet Comics v1 #1, 1940 - One of the earliest science fiction comic book titles, Planet Comics introduced an array of characters set across different worlds. Flint Baker and crew take a spaceship to Mars, Auro is a self-proclaimed ruler of Jupiter and the size-changing Red Comet travels where needed. This colorful first issue also features the unfortunately named Spurt Hammond, who negotiates peace between warring factions on the moon.
