Transformers v1 #1, 1984 - On the distant planet of Cybertron, a war breaks out between the Autobots and the Decepticons. Megatron, the antagonist, pits his faction against the forces of Optimus Prime. Part of a four part limited series, this first issue introduces the Hasbro line of toys to the comic book audience. This Bill Mantlo story was drawn by Frank Springer and Kim DeMulder. Cover by Bill Sienkiewicz.
