Plastic Man v1 #NN (no number) (#1), 1943 - Not long after his premiere in Police Comics #1, the world's first elastic hero begins his own self-titled series. Along with his pal Woozy Winks, Plastic Man embarks on a series of adventures. From investigating a murder at a gambling club to preventing the theft of a new camouflage device, the duo is seemingly unstoppable. Note how this first issue was never numbered, but clearly precedes the other issues in the series. Like his previous work on the character, Jack Cole does. a fine job writing and drawing all the stories. Cover by Cole. /// key 1st issue
