Police Comics v1 #1, 1941 - Quality Comics introduces their own cadre of superheroes in this packed first issue. "Eel" O Brien, a thief, is accidentally soaked with chemicals during a heist, Roy Lincoln swallows his father's secret formula to keep it out of the hands of spies and socialite Sandra Knight chooses to fight crime with the aid of her blackout lantern. Plastic Man, Phantom Lady and the Human Bomb make their first appearances in separate stories, creations of Jack Cole, Arthur Peddy and Paul Gustavson respectively. Lesser known characters Firebrand, Mouthpiece and others also debut in this issue. Plastic Man's first self-titled series would begin two years later. His origin here was later reprinted in DC Special #15 and his silver age revival would occur in Plastic Man v2 #1.
