The Spirit v8 #14, 2008 - A series of murders leads the Spirit to four former fraternity brothers and a drowned coed from decades ago. A former assistant to the great Will Eisner, Mike Ploog returns to draw the character created by his mentor. His work, having been influenced by Eisner, is also distinctive on its own. Unfortunately, Ploog lacks his usual verve of his other works for the same era. His drawings are oversimplified, lack detail and rely too much on Mark Farmer's finishes.
