Whiz Comics v1 #25, 1941 - More than midway through the Captain Marvel feature, the antagonist Captain Nazi falls into the sea and is rescued by two civilians. He cruelly kills an old man but his grandson is spared just in time. Billy Batson brings the boy to the place of Captain Marvel's origin. Young Freddy Freeman acquires similar powers and becomes Captain Marvel Jr. Thereafter, he starts on his own adventures within Master Comics. Bill Woolfolk and Ed Herron wrote this origin story, while C.C. Beck and Mac Raboy provided the artwork. Cover by Beck. /// key 1st appearance, 1st origin Captain Marvel Jr.
