Frankenstein Alive Alive #1 - Bernie Wrightson art & cover

Bernie Wrightson
Frankenstein Alive Alive v1 #1, 2012 - Employed by a traveling circus as a freak, the Monster recalls the events leading up his current situation. Author Steve Niles continues from Mary Shelley's ending, placing the setting during Depression-era America. No stranger to the character, Bernie Wrightson takes the artistic reins of this IDW horror series. Drawn in rich blacks and grays, the artist proves himself the logical choice for these new stories. Wrightson also contributes three terrific double page spreads. Two out of the three variant covers reprints an interior panel. This is 1 of 4 Frankenstein Alive Alive issues by Wrightson. /// key 1st issue
