Fightin' Five v1 #40, 1966 - To stop war from breaking out in South America, US envoy Christopher Smith dons a costume, jet-pack and special weapons to stop an arms dealer. Though only a short back-up feature, the Peacemaker is introduced to readers for the first time. Billed as "the man who loved peace so much he's willing to fight for it", he's among a handful of Charlton superheroes debuting in the 1960s. This Joe Gill story was drawn by Pat Boyette. Other artists in this issue include Bill Montes and Ernie Bachs.
