Parole Breakers #2 |
Parole Breakers v1 #2, 1952 - With her mother's death, Marion Gilmore meets with the wrong people and pursues a life of crime. Terrifically drawn, Joe Kubert's artwork has a gritty quality perfect for the genre. The half-woman half-devil metaphor works well as an opening panel. Kubert's strong pacing and storytelling matches up with his other works from the same period. Everett Raymond Kinstler does a beautiful job with the black and white inside front cover. Other artists in this issue include Mike Becker and Vince Alascia. Cover by William Stanke. This is 1 of 1 Parole Breakers issues by Kubert.
