Iron Man and Sub-mariner #1 - 1st issue

Iron Man and Sub-mariner #1
Iron Man and Sub-mariner v1 #1, 1968 - Iron Man is trapped in an ocean liner's hull, just as the agents of AIM take over the ship. In the second feature, the Sub-mariner battles a telepath armed with an ancient helmet of power. An anomaly among Marvel titles at the time, this one shot first issue contains two stories that precede the characters' respective self-titled series. "The Torrent Without, The Tumult Within" picks up the storyline from Tales of Suspense #99, then continues into Iron Man #1. This Archie Goodwin story was drawn by Gene Colan and Johnny Craig. Similarly, "Call Him Destiny or Call Him Death" carries over from Tales to Astonish #101, then continues into Sub-mariner #1. Script by Roy Thomas, art by Colan and Frank Giacoia. Cover by Colan and Bill Everett. /// key 1st issue
