Amazing Spider-Man v1 #194, 1979 - Recruiting henchmen with specific skills, the Black Cat plans a prison breakout for one of its senior residents. Spider-man crosses her path, discovering that her agility and acrobatic skills prove more than a match for him. Felicia Hardy's intentions and origin story occurs in the next issue. She would return as a supporting character and a love interest for Spider-man. Dave Cockrum is credited got her costume and character design.
