Herb Trimpe |
Incredible Hulk v2 #109, 1968 - Herb Trimpe had a long and respectable run on the Hulk's second series, particularly the early issues. Among his covers, this one stands out as one of the best. Defying the format of usual masthead / trade dress, the artist incorporates it in the background cliffside. The scene becomes immediately more spacious, focusing more on the Savage Land than the characters. Trimpe draws the Hulk and guest star Ka-Zar with equal prominence, with loyal Zabu in the foreground. ///
