Strange Adventures #13 |
Strange Adventures v1 #13, 1951 - An artist gains fame for his imaginative paintings of alien monsters. When these creatures are spotted in remote African jungles, he struggles to make sense of the coincidence.
Alex Toth's distinctive style seems more evident than his previous issues. More attention is paid to lighting and detail. The opening splash is a standout, depicting an array of creatures emerging from their canvases. While marginally better, this Toth effort falls just short of expectations. Other artists in this golden age comic include Murphy Anderson, Carmine Infantino and Gil Kane. This is 4 of 7
