Wolverine v2 #20, 1990 - A Latin American dictator, illicit drugs, a new super-heroine and the mercenary Tiger Shark are all included in this John Byrne-drawn issue. More than halfway through his run, the artist's enthusiasm seems to wane. Byrne's cover is arresting. The water droplets form a pattern that helps Wolverine's forearm stand out in the foreground. The composition's strength is due to the curvature of the claws, which seem to close in on the villain. Inside, Byrne's story art and layouts are more or less watered down.
