Phantom Stranger v2 #9 - Neal Adams cover

Phantom Stranger #9 - 1970s dc horror comic book cover art by Neal Adams
Neal Adams
Phantom Stranger v2 #9, 1970 - A man lies dead on the floor, his voodoo doll image lying similarly while speared with an exotic arrow. The Phantom Stranger's presence is a mere shadow, his most subtle appearance yet. Neal Adams inserts sculpture and a contemporary chair into the scene, suggesting a victim of means. Most pointedly, the artist places the body in the arrow's path, suggesting its responsibility in the killing. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Jim Aparo.
