Barnyard Comics v1 #26, 1949 - Frank Frazetta provides text illustrations for two stories: one of a dancing grasshopper and the other tells of a brave little ostrich. Both are lovingly drawn with a high degree of craft for this genre. "Ollie the Ostrich" is the more detailed of the two, using shading and cross-hatching to increase depth. Like other issues, Frazetta's small efforts make outsized impacts on the stories. Other artists in this golden age comic include Jack Bradbury.
