Tomahawk #123 - Neal Adams cover

Neal Adams
Tomahawk v1 #123, 1969 - Being literally pulled apart by two horses, the title character struggles in agony on this forceful cover design. Neal Adams demonstrates his mastery of foreshortening as few others can. Details of musculature also display a keen knowledge of anatomy. The warm bands in the background have an odd calming effect on the whole scene, suggesting a sunrise or sunset. This is one of Adams' best efforts on the series. Other artists in this silver age comic include Frank Thorne. This is 6 of 13 Tomahawk issues by Adams.
