Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #61 |
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #61, 1945 - Seeing them play junior detectives, Donald Duck tries to thwart their fun with a series of elaborate fake clues. Despite an abundance of panels per page, Carl Barks makes the most of it. A few seem repetitive and unnecessary. His drawings are nicely executed, but compete for space with all the dialogue. This story was later reprinted in Donald Duck Adventures #6. This issue also includes artwork by Al Taliaferro. Cover by Walt Kelly. This is 30 of 280 Walt Disney's Comics and Stories issues by Barks.
