X-O Man O War v1 #8, 1992 - While nicely detailed, this Walt Simonson cover is less thoughtful in its layout. The main character attacks an oncoming enemy while wildly off balance. As a result, his figure distracts from the other design elements. In fact, aside from the blast graphic there's little indication of Simonson's hand. Other artists in this modern age comic include Sam Velluto.
