Incredible Hulk v2 #141, 1971 - Extracting the Hulk's gamma-induced "psychic force", psychiatrist Leonard Samson uses it to save the life of Betty Ross. Shortly afterward, the residue from the experiment enables him to turn himself into a superhero. Doc Samson makes his first appearance, sporting green hair and combining both strength and intellect. Naturally, he tests his newfound abilities against ol' greenskin. This Roy Thomas story was drawn by by Herb Trimpe.
