Joe Kubert |
Hawkman v1 #27, 1968 - Overwhelmed by small flying adversaries, Hawkman falls downward toward a snowy landscape. As strange as the scene is, the artwork by
Joe Kubert is terrific. Diminishing figures in the background add much needed depth. The title character is centered and sized prominently. Ironically, Kubert introduced this hero in
Brave and the Bold, but this is his only cover on Hawkman's self-titled series. Other artists in this silver age comic include Dick Dillin and Chuck Cuidera. This is 1 of 1
Hawkman issues by
Kubert.
