Our Army at War #160 - Joe Kubert art & cover

Joe Kubert
Our Army at War v1 #160 featuring Sgt. Rock, 1965 - Haunted by a boxing match he lost before the war, Jackie Johnson is reunited with his opponent, now a Nazi paratrooper. Can he finally beat him and disprove Hitler's master race theory? Joe Kubert's cover is bit crowded but somehow maintains clarity. His interiors are just as good, depicting the brutality of war through a boxing metaphor. Kubert's last panel is a knockout. This story was later reprinted in Sgt. Rock Special #6. Other artists in this issue include Jack Abel. This is 97 of 236 Our Army at War issues by Kubert.
