Tales of Suspense v1 #49, 1964 - Inexplicably, exposure from an atomic explosion suddenly turns the Angel into a villain. This farce of a story is hurriedly drawn by
Steve Ditko, made worse by Paul Reinman's sloppy inking. Speaking of which, Ditko's inks have little impact on
Jack Kirby's composed cover. This story, featuring an early crossover by one of the X-men, was later reprinted in
Giant-size Iron Man #1. Other artists in this silver age comic include Larry Lieber and Don Heck. This is 47 of 47
Tales of Suspense issues by
Ditko and 48 of 92 Tales of Suspense issues by
Kirby.
