Tomahawk #132 - Joe Kubert art & cover

Joe Kubert
(Son of) Tomahawk v1 #132, 1971 - Joe Kubert frames the scene of racial prejudice from an open window above. There, another villain tales aim at the. title character. Kubert also draws the unrelated Firehair back-up tale, picking up his adventures from Showcase. After saving a Mexican boy, our red-haired hero learns a painful lesson about friendship. Like the cover, the story art is drawn with passion and gusto. Note how Kubert angles his cover signature to follow the window sill. Other artists in this bronze age western comic include Frank Thorne. This is 2 of 10 Tomahawk issues by Kubert.
