Tarzan v1 #101, 1958 - Dan-El finally catches up to his warriors, homeward bound. Riding back with a contingent to fetch his wife Tavane, he spies a group of Tuaregs setting up an ambush. Much of the artwork seems unpolished, especially compared to Russ Manning's later works. The page below is one of the better sequences. The artist also draws a full color Tarzan pin-up page with the same level of effort. Jesse Marsh draws the lead Tarzan feature. Photo cover.
