Out of This World v2 #8, 1958 - Within this 68 page giant issue, two
Steve Ditko stories have two different approaches. in "Imagination", a young boy learns a sobering lesson in animal cruelty. The artist focuses on layout and design rather than fine detailing. He does the opposite on "The Secret of Captain X", the tale of a spaceship taken over by radioactive aliens. Ditko's greater detail and effort results in richer, more interesting characters and scenery. This story was later reprinted in
Space War v2 #31. Fred Kida makes a small but visually pleasing contribution. Other artists in this golden age comic include Charles Nicholas and Vince Alascia. Cover by Maurice Whitman. This is 6 of 11
