Superman #409 - Al Williamson art & cover

Al Williamson
Superman v1 #409, 1985 - Ferlin Nyxly, a previous foe of Superman, steals an alien spacecraft and attacks Metropolis. Circumstances put the man of steel in a zombie-like trance, forcing his friends to control him in battle (not unlike a video game). Al Williamson's inks have good results on the cover, adding fine detail to the console. On the other hand, the interiors suffer from Curt Swan's outdated style. Williamson's inks can only do so much. This is 3 of 9 Superman issues by Williamson.
