Epic Illustrated v1 #26, 1984 - "The Last Galactus Story" begins with his herald Nova traversing the galaxies and happening upon a decimated planet. There are the ruins of a highly technological civilization, but no remnants of any of the residents. John Byrne both writes and illustrates this nine-part saga. His superb drawings are augmented by Terry Austin's inks. Each page is carefully composed to suggest both height and scale when needed. Other artists in this issue include Mike Kauta, Ken Steacy and Dave Sim. Cover painting by Bill Sienkiewicz. This is 1 of 9 Epic Illustrated issues by Byrne.
