Journey into Mystery #112 - Jack Kirby art & cover

Jack Kirby
Journey into Mystery v1 #112, 1965 - In public view, two fan groups argue over who's stronger: Thor or the Hulk? The thunder god arrives, retelling his first battle with ol' greenskin. Jack Kirby revels in drawing this entertaining story, making use of his dynamic style. On page nine, his depiction of a fully enraged Hulk is among the highlights. Chic Stone's inking retains Kirby's intent and frenetic action. Vince Colletta's inks mostly falter in the back up tale. The silver age story was later reprinted in Marvel Treasury Edition #9. This is 63 of 76 Journey Into Mystery issues by Kirby
