Sin City: A Dame to Kill For v1 #1, 1993 - With the success of the Sin City episodes in
Dark Horse Presents,
Frank Miller begins a six issue mini-series featuring a new tough-guy protagonist named Dwight. Working as a freelance private investigator, an old flame named Ava re-enters his life. Miller uses the high contrast, black and white drawing style as he did previously. The layouts and sequencing are masterfully design. Ava's entrance, as a shadowy silhouette on page 26, perfectly captures the film noir feel without narration or dialogue. The back covers are duplicates of the front covers, sans masthead and type. This is 1 of 6
