Eerie v3 #79, 1976 - In his second appearance, Darklon the Mystic recounts his origin and the deadly bargain he made to receive his powers
. Like the previous episode, Jim Starlin illustrates with confidence and purpose. His excellent drawings work in tandem with carefully constructed page layouts throughout the story. The high level of complexity and texture makes this a standout among Starlin's bronze age magazine works. This story was later reprinted in
Eerie v3 #137 and
