Strange Suspense Stories v2 #19, 1954 - Two bank robbers flee to their hideout, just as one discovers the other's affair with his girlfriend. Graphic and expressive, the characters are drawn with a little too much distortion for my tastes. Steve Ditko's panel layouts, however, are very effective. All necessary details are included to augment the storytelling. His execution-themed cover is unrelated to the story, but far more vivid and disturbing. Other artists in this golden age horror comic include Bill Molno and Dick Giordano. This is 2 of 4 Strange Suspense Stories v2 issues by Ditko.
