World's Finest Comics v1 #256, 1979 - Billy Batson discovers the long lost secret of his parents' death in this issue's Shazam feature. Don Newton opens with an impressive opening splash of Captain Marvel wrestling a dinosaur. From there the artwork begins to lose detail and draftsmanship. Though a fine artist in his own right, Kurt Schaffenberger's style meshes poorly with Newon's pencils. This story was later reprinted in Shazam! The World's Mightiest Mortal #3. Other artists in this issue include Murphy Anderson, Dick Dillin and Jose Delbo. Cover by Ross Andru and Dick Giordano.
