Star Wars #49 - Walt Simonson art & cover

 Walt Simonson
Star Wars v1 #49, 1981 - Seeking to recruit a possible ally, Luke and Princess Leia travel across the galaxy to track a mysterious signal. Walt Simonson begins his run on the series with a colorful cover montage. Sadly, the convoluted layout and rudimentary drawing mars his premiere. His pencils on the interior story are even worse, as his distinctive style is mostly buried under Tom Palmer's inks. This is 3 of 18 Star Wars issues by Simonson.

I always thought this last Jedi story was kind of contrived and forceds to make some Don Coyote analogy the was kind of stupid in the end
