World's Finest Comics v1 #254, 1979 - To free the soul of his uncle, Captain Marvel must fight a sextet of Satan's minions. Don Newton's supple drawings benefit from Kurt Schaffenberger's inks. The layouts are even better, swirling on the page similar to dream-like sequences. This story was later reprinted in Shazam! The World's Mightiest Mortal #3. Like much of his later bronze age works, Steve Ditko's Creeper tale seems far more hurried and lacking in careful consideration. Other artists in this issue include Trevor von Eeden, George Tuska and Vince Colletta. Cover by Jim Aparo.
