Amazing Spider-man v1 #25, 1965 - In possibly the silliest plot of the series, a scientist invents a remote control robot capable of defeating Spider-man.
Steve Ditko's gallery of characters seems misplaced on the opening splash, but his remaining pages are confidently drawn. The J. Jonah Jameson-controlled robot does seem to have a an organic quality that's visually interesting. Ditko uses this to full effect on the cover design. This is 25 of 38
