Amazing Spider-man #25 - Steve Ditko art & cover

Steve Ditko
Amazing Spider-man v1 #25, 1965 - In possibly the silliest plot of the series, a scientist invents a remote control robot capable of defeating Spider-man. Steve Ditko's gallery of characters seems misplaced on the opening splash, but his remaining pages are confidently drawn. The J. Jonah Jameson-controlled robot does seem to have a an organic quality that's visually interesting. Ditko uses this to full effect on the cover design. This is 25 of 38 Amazing Spider-Man issues by Ditko.

This page is from Spider-Man #24, where Mysterio masquerades as a psychiatrist and nails all the furniture to the ceiling.
