Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #151, 1953 - Aspiring to be the Easter Parade'a Grand Marshal, Donald Duck campaigns against his unbelievably lucky cousin Gladstone Gander. Both resort to dirty tricks in order to win the votes of children.
Carl Barks is especially good at pitting these two characters against each other. His facial expressions convey a wide array of emotions, from disappointment to rage. Barks' funniest moment occurs on page 9, as the children convey their preference for grand marshal in the harshest terms. This story was later reprinted in
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #367. Other artists in this golden age comic include Paul Murry. This is 111 of 280
