A Moon, a Girl... Romance #11 - Wally Wood art

A Moon, a Girl... Romance #11
A Moon, a Girl... Romance v1 #11, 1950 - Cathy falls hopelessly in love with a ski instructor, who unfortunately romances every woman he meets. His first of three issues on the series, Wally Wood adds richness to Harry Harrison's otherwise primitive pencils. The figure drawing is abysmal, but the young artist does his best to improve depth and modeling. Wood's penchant for high contrast dramatizes many scenes, most effectively on a dreamy, time-lapsed montage (see interior page above). While early in his career and far from polished, Wood already demonstrates his unique talents. Other artists in this golden age comic include Al Feldstein, Graham Ingels and more. This is 2 of 3 A Moon, a Girl... Romance issues by Wood.
