Eerie v3 #72 - Bernie Wrightson art

Eerie v3 #72, 1976 - Hired as a bodyguard on a German zeppelin, Reuben Youngblood unearths a fiendish plot involving Nazi vampires. Howard Chaykin pencils border on the amateurish, but Bernie Wrightson does his best to lend a hand. His painterly inks add clarity to some of the pages. Some panels are better than others, with most having a neutral effect. Wrightson's inside front cover (unrelated) is a far better effort, featuring a twisted view of Santa Claus. Other artists in this issue include Luis Berjemo, Jose Ortiz and Paul Neary. This is number 14 of 14 Eerie magazine issues with Wrightson art and/or covers (not including reprints).
