Journey into Mystery v1 #78, 1962 - Jack Kirby's work makes up the bulk of the issue with two fine stories. In the first, a young wizard arrives on our world only to be followed by his own people. A second tale (inked by Steve Ditko) reveals the possession of an astronaut by a cloud-like creature. Kirby's cover suffers from competing elements, but his story art is more than sufficient. His splashes are especially pleasing to the eye (see interior page below). The issue's high point is Ditko's story of spacemen marooned on a distant planet on Christmas eve. Like many of his efforts for Atlas, there's a high degree of craftsmanship in both drawing and composition. "Kraggoom" was later reprinted in
Monsters on the Prowl #9. Other artists in this issue include Joe Sinnott and Reed Crandall. This is 31 of 49

Interesting that the astronauts in the Disco story are wearing t-shirts and jeans rather than space suits.
Who knew Mercury had the exact same atmosphere as Earth?
