Batman #300 |
Batman v1 #300, 1978 - In the future, a semi-retired Batman and grown-up Robin take on one last caper together: exposing a network of conspirators known as the Spectrum. Walt Simonson's trademark style is difficult to see at times, mostly due to Dick Giordano's imposing inks. Some pages fare better than others, such as depictions of machinery and advanced technology. His action scenes show his usual dynamic linework, but with harsher results. At 30-plus pages, this 300th issue is one of his longest Batman tales to date. Unfortunately, Simonson's overall effort falls short of expectations. This is 1 of 5 Batman issues by Simonson. /// key Milestone issue
