Detective Comics #508 - Don Newton art

Detective Comics #508
Detective Comics v1 #508, 1981 - When Selina Kyle is kidnapped and taken to Egypt, the Batman follows the clue to Egypt, where a madman believes himself to be a pharaoh. Don Newton delivers a mostly laudable effort. His supple drawings of ancient structures and interiors are further bolstered by Dan Adkins' inking. Newton also varies his layouts to avoid redundancy. This story was later reprinted in Tales of the Batman: Gerry Conway TPB #2. Joe Giella and Jose Delbo illustrate the accompanying Batgirl feature toward the end. Cover by Jim Aparo. This is 27 of 39 Detective Comics issues by Newton.
