Archer & Armstrong v1 #0, 1992 - Newly arrived in Los Angeles, a former son of a pastor (turned Tibetan monk) befriends a local strongman and begins a series of off-beat and sometimes fantastical adventures. Barry Smith's classical drawing style adds a sophisticated patina to the series. Although each panel is drawn with great care, the first half of the story (inked by Smith) is far better than the second (inked by the otherwise talented Ralph Reese).
