Weird Fantasy v2 #17 |

4.
Weird Fantasy v2 #17, 1953 - In the aftermath of a nuclear explosion, a futuristic, self-running home goes about its duties. This sobering Ray Bradbury story is brilliantly drawn by
Wally Wood. Though absent of any people, the house is portrayed with almost human characteristics. Wood handles this with great skill and sensitivity. Equally masterful is
Al Williamson's work: a tale of aliens nearing Earth just in time to see it explode. Beautiful and complex, the artwork is executed with fine precision. The story culminates in a repetitive, self-referential splash page. Other artists in this issue include Will Elder, Joe Orlando and Al Feldstein. This is 4 of 8
Weird Fantasy v2 issues by
Williamson and 15 of 15 Weird Fantasy v2 issues by
Wood. ///
